IAG 600 FA20 Subaru Short Block (Standard Compression 12.5:1) - 2013-2021 Scion FRS / Subaru BRZ / Toyota 86

IAG 600 FA20 FT86/BRZ 2.0L Subaru Short Block - 600 BHP

IAG 600 FA20 Short Block for 2013-20 BRZ / FR-S / GT86 (12.5:1 Standard Compression)

DESIGNED FOR STRENGTH

The IAG 600 Short Block is designed for stock or modified FA20 Subaru BRZs that need a stronger short block to support increased cylinder pressures created by modifications, or aftermarket turbo kits. The IAG 600 short block features IAG Spec H-Beam forged connecting rods. The upgraded connecting rods and race bearings are able to support additional engine load produced by aftermarket turbochargers or increased boost which the OEM rods and pistons found in the stock short blocks cannot support reliably.

BUILT WITH 100% NEW COMPONENTS

Each IAG 600 Short Block starts with brand new FA20 BRZ/FT86 2.0L, 86mm stock bore engine case halves as standard. The case haves are carefullly bored and honed to 86.1mm then measured and assembled using a new 2015+ Subaru 2.0L FA20 crankshaft, which is matched to ACL or King race main bearings.

The IAG 600 Short Block features IAG Spec H-Beam Connecting Rods with ARP2000 rod bolts, along with ACL or King race rod bearings. The case halves are sealed with new OEM main case bolts and sealant. Finally, IAG Spec JE FSR 86.1mm Forged Pistons are carefully selected, measured, and installed to finish off the short block.

MODIFIED OIL PASSAGES FOR INCREASED OILING

Adequate oil flow is critical to performance and relibility. It's no secret that the OEM cases from Subaru leave something to be desired in the oiling department. Our machinists carefully inspect and modify the internal oil passages of each new OEM case used in the IAG 600 Short Block to ensure proper flow and reliability.

FORGED PISTONS, DESIGNED FOR BOOST

Each IAG 600 Short Block features IAG Spec JE FSR 86.1mm Forged Pistons. These 2618 T6 Alloy high-strength pistons have been specifically designed to support increased cylinder pressures which come with more boost. FSR forgings reduce mass and wear caused by friction without sacrificing strength.

This is accomplished by using an asymmetrical skirt design instead of the traditional full-round skirt, also this reduces weight significantly. Featuring smooth flowing radii on the domes and dishes, the design promotes excellent flame travel.

The pistons are secured to the rods with .905 x 2.250" x .150" wall carbon steel wrist pins with Tru Arc locks. Note this block features standard 12.5:1 compression ratio which is ideal for low boost or stock applications.
